Stephen becomes an Activist

It's been awhile since we've heard anything from Stephen. It's hard to believe...he's almost 7 months old!
This is his story for today:

We have a fun State Park close to our home. I get to do lots of fun things while I'm there...

I get to swing and slide

Brother and I play Hide and Seek, and Mommy and I get our Hiking Exercise.

Daddy and I play in the dirt. Mommy didn't like me eating it, but Daddy and I just say she's just a girl and she doesn't know about guy things.

Last night when we went to visit the geese, I got really sad.

This is my new friend. He's hurt and can't walk very good.

Mommy said some people hurt him by putting a leg band on him. I am mad, cuz he would be fine if people would've just left him alone. Now he hurts real bad.

Mommy and I are going to send this story to a bunch of people to see if anyone can help my new friend, Bandit. (That's what I call him.)

Bandit is at Wallace State Park in Cameron, Mo. if you can help!

Daddy's proud of me being a big boy and trying to help my new friend!

Stephen Hop's on Pop

Today's blog is from Stephen. He made something he wants to tell you about:

This is me and my POP! He lives in Texas, so I don't get to see him much. He got me a cool shirt:

It says HOP ON POP. Here's the back:

So, I decided to put on my Hop on Pop shirt and make something extra special for him. I went outside to play and had my sissy take some pictures:

We had a lotta fun taking pictures. But then I had my daddy put them in a frame for me:

See? It says POP. He loved it!

Stephen's Mall Adventure

We have so much to show you and catch up on while my computer was ill! Seth, Stephen and I all have something to share, but since Seth is at his cousins for the holiday, I'll give Mr. Stephen the spotlight today.
(By the way...please forgive the blurry shots. I was so disappointed in them, but this was such a big deal I had to include them. My husband's phone did not work well for me. I need to remember to take my camera everywhere because Stephen is always wanting to write adventures!)
Here's Stephen now:

Today me and mommy woke up Daddy real early. Mommy said she wanted to go to Farmers Market. We shouldn't have woke up Daddy early cuz we didn't have much luck at Farmers Market. But seeing as how we wanted an adventure we went looking for one somewhere else. Have you ever been to someplace called "The Mall"? That's where we went and it's full of adventures! Just look and see what I did:

I found out that the mall is a very big place. It was so hard to choose what adventure I wanted to do first. But, then I saw just the thing. Since I am a cowboy, I figured it was time that I had my first bull-ride. I look a little nervous, but I was just doing that for mommy. She doesn't really want me to be a bull-rider, so I didn't want her to see how exciting it was! (Don't tell her that I really had fun.)

Have you ever been on a speed boat? Me neither, til today. Daddy found this blue one. It was cool, and it zoomed really fast. Daddy said it was neater than most speed boats cuz we didn't even have to get wet. I just loved zooming fast!

Do you know what I did in that speed boat? I zoomed all over the place til I found the Ocean! There were even Killer Whales there! Oh, don't worry. They didn't hurt me. They were my friends. They even gave me a ride. See?

When I was riding the wales around the ocean, I saw some horses far off in the distance. I knew since Daddy is a real live cowboy, he'd want to ride them. We picked one out for me named "Duke". Daddy said it reminded him of John Wayne. I know all about that guy (He's in my room. I'll show you someday), so we just hopped right up and rode Duke.

Before we went home, Daddy said we had one last adventure to go on. He took me into a big place and taught me all about tools. Him and me, we are going to make things together cuz we are best buds.

Don't you think that was some really big adventures today? Mommy says I am getting to be such a big boy going on all these adventures. I think being a big boy is fun!

Stephen makes a friend

Friend
by Dinger
A Friend is one who needs us and one whom we need. Around us may be many whose companionship we enjoy, but were they suddenly to drop out of their places there would be no soreness, no sense of deprivation, no lack of comfort. We do not need them, neither do they need us. A friend is one to whom we cling, though many leagues of space separate us. Though days pass with no sight of his face or word from his pen, we know our friend loves us and that when we meet again we will be on the same old terms: we shall begin where we left off. A friend is one in whom we can confide. The secret chambers of our soul open to his touch on the latch. Thousands imagine their friends are numbered by scores, but if subjected to these tests every one of them would fall into the great sea of common humanity.
